Daisy Inspired Overall DIY

Materials:
  • Sandpaper
  • Scissors
  • Daisy trim 2 yd.(Daisy Venice Joann
  • White thread and needle
  • Overalls (Got mine from Guess)
  • Seam ripper

1. Mark the length where you want to cut the legs, keep in mind that you will be "destroying" the edges.

2. Put something under one of the legs, then start sanding the edges until the threads start to get loose. Don't make them too long! Make sure that all of the strings are about the same length, if not cut it shorter.

3. Use a seam ripper to get rid of the logos outside (optional).

4. Start sewing on the daisy trim around the middle.*don't cut the trim, you never know how much you are going to need! Sew each flower separately, start from the inside of the overall, using the end of the thread make a big knot then poke the needle through the first flower then back down on the same flower, you should be in the inside of the overall. Locate the next flower and do the same.

5. Once done, go to the back and if there are any logos remove them (optional) .

6. Line the rim of the back pockets with the trim, cut, and sew on.Make sure to secure the first flower (should be on top of the metal stud).

7. Do the same to the front pockets. If you want to add more flowers in different  places feel free!

8. Now you're done! A perfect summertime outfit that can be wore for anytime

Simple Elegance

Materials:
  • Gold colored wire
  • Tiny clear beads (round)
  • Gold noddle shaped beads
  • Scissors

1. Cut enough wire for it to go around three times around your wrist and twist one end making a little loop.

2. Start to string the beads start with a small clear bead then a noodle bead. Keep repeating this pattern until you get to the end but leave about 2 inches.

 3. Now begin bending the wire like this * do it slowly and leave a little room or the beads might break!

4. Make a loop at the end of the wire with the beads then cut another wire, 5 inches and put it through the loop at the end and wrap it around itself.

5. Put the bracelet on and string the newly attached wire through the other loop hole. Bend it where it makes a comfortable grip.

6. Take the wire out of the loop but still try to keep the bend you made prior. Get a clear bead and string it where the bend is and begin to twist the wire down keeping the beads in place. *Remember to bend any pokey wires!!

Here is your finished Bracelet!

DIY Grunge Chain Tights

Materials:
  • 30 inches of silver curb chain
  • Worn out black nylons
  • Chain plier and round nose plier ( Jewelry-Tool-Guide)
  • Needle and black thread
  • Jewelry cutter
  • Ruler

1. With the pliers, separate four strands of 4 in each of the chain, two strands of 3 in, and four of 2 in .
2. This is the fun part. Put on the tights and start ripping little holes on them with the cutter (be creative). Make  sure that you have distributed the holes all around your leg, not just in the front of the tights.
3. Once you're done ripping the tights line up the strands of chains, from longest to shortest, for each leg. I used two of the 4 in strands, one 3 in, and two 2 in chains for one leg .

4. Carefully take your needle and thread and start sewing the chains to the tights. Sew only the ends of the chain. Remember to space them out equally on your leg. Stay next to a mirror to check the placement of the chains. When you are done with leg 1 place the chains on your other leg symmetrically.

  5. Now you have rockin' tights that can add some grunge to your outfit!
